Good News

Dear All. Over the last couple of weeks i have been able to get some of the week recurring problems matched with some solutions, which will solve issues in the town. The first being allotments the Glebe will let us have a twenty years lease on four acres of land at the back of St Martins Church from September. There is a lot of interest so get your name on the list quickly call the town Council on 01503 262255. The second is a clear promise from Cornwall Council's highways department to repair and surface dress St Martins Road, Sandplace Road and Station Road but this is not planned until next April. I will be holding a meeting regarding this nearer the time to make sure residents and businesses know how these works will effect them. Lastly the apprenticeships day held in Looe Thursday the 28th June was very successful and I will. Confirm the numbers soon. But I must express my thanks to Jane Milligan of Job Centre Plus and Cathie Kessel of the Apprenticeships Service an excellent team helping our youngsters to find work. Thanks Armand
