Cornwall Council is encouraging motorists to save on fuel costs by sharing journeys rather than driving alone.
The Council is a member of Carshare Cornwall, a free online group set up to put drivers wanting to share lifts in touch with one another. And with liftshare Week taking place this week (Monday 1 to Friday 5 October), now’s a good time to sign up!
Andy Roberts, scheme manager for Carshare Cornwall scheme said: “With ever rising fuel costs and increasing levels of congestion on our roads, it’s important for everyone to think about how we travel to work, education or for shopping trips. As
“20% of Cornish households do not have access to a car, so getting a lift with someone means they are not tied to public transport timetables and can have a greater choice and flexibility of when and where to travel.”

Carsharing isn`t just good to save money but to help our environment! More people should try it. Even companies can share their cars and profit from it, as you can read here: http://www.cfo-insight.com/corporate-strategy/cost-efficiency/cost-cutting-with-carsharing/
